Rare Irish Belleek tea cup &saucer set features a beautiful design of harps and shamrocks. Irish charm abounds with this pristine set. Does not appear to have been used at all. In curio cabinet for years. What an eye catcher for any collection or an awesome gift.
The mark indicates that it was made in County Fermanagh, 1926-1946;Ireland. Both pieces are hand painted with shamrocks & the interior of the cup has a luster glaze. The cup's handle is crafted in the shape of an Irish harp. The cup is so thin it is translucent. Together the cup & saucer weigh 3.7 ozs, the cup stands 2 1/4" tall, and the saucer measures 5 1/8" at its widest point. There are no cracks, chips or crazing visible.
Anyone who appreciates the history of Belleek pottery, this shamrock shaped teacup with nautilus folds is stunning. The shamrock shaped saucer & harp shaped finial adds to the spectacle of Irish quality and beauty. Holder not included in sale. A real Keeper & discontinued. Please review all pix. Thx
