The best of the best Unheated Eye Clean Blue Sapphire from Australia. The color saturation is off the charts and really pops in the sunlight. This is the rarest and most sought after color and quality of Sapphire from Australia. It is extremely rare to find them in such high clarity. Despite this gems relatively small size it is still a nice enough gemstone that it is suitable for use as a central stone set in gold. The other gemstone I had of this size and quality sold to a gentleman who used it for an engagement ring and it came out spectacularly well. All parties involved were very happy with it. I did get this gem appraised for over double the listing price I currently have it posted. Due to the synthetic diamond industry the price of Sapphires, such as this one, has skyrocketed. This trend is expected to continue from what I have been told by the professionals. Still I was more than shocked by how high the appraised value was.
